The OU and Jewish Action mourn the passing of Rabbi Chaim Yisroel Belsky, zt”l, the rosh yeshivah of Yeshiva Torah Vodaath and OU Kosher Senior Halachic Consultant. For nearly three decades, Rav Belsky, a Torah giant and a true gadol, guided OU Kosher. His extraordinary mastery of halachah and profound grasp of the complexities of modern food production revolutionized modern-day kashrut. May his memory serve as a blessing.
